In her eight seasons, she’s rage texted her partner in the middle of the night, she consoled every crying woman in the house including her archnemesis Lindsay, and is the only bridge between the many disparate factions. The show could go on without Amanda, but it wouldn’t be as good or nearly as peaceful. (I am only doing this to give her enough confidence to leave her husband so that I can have him.) The girls are right; Amanda needs to try something on her own without Kyle. The rest of the episode is really only about Amanda and Larl, but not together. Back in the city, Amanda goes to Old Navy with Paige and Ciara, and this must be a paid excursion because there is no way these girls hit up the 34th Street Old Navy on the reg.

The thing about founders and CEOs is that a successful one would never call herself that.
There is nothing that can be done to help Gabby at this moment. Her feelings are valid, but her reaction seems a little outsized. The next morning, the two talk about how they go after boys and what Danielle meant by the conversation, and they’re on the same page. They both want what is best for Gabby, and Danielle finally understands that her way is not always the right way. There is something I have not given Ciara enough credit for this summer, and that is that her room has been much cleaner. This was the first episode that I noticed what a mess it is, and we are well past the halfway mark of the season.

Barbara Jones Jenkins of Northfield, MN, writes that she spends much of her time reading and keeping her email inbox below the 300s. She also served as the financial director of the Cannon Valley Elder Collegium and took several of their courses. On a negative note, Barbara says that she has been trying to improve her tennis serve after 50 years but recently ruptured her right bicep reaching for a volley. Let’s hope Barbara will soon make a complete recovery and get back to working on her serve.

Vicki Simons writes that COVID helped her feel more attached to Cornell, following the wonderful online offerings. She especially enjoyed Corey Earle ’07’s class on “all things Cornell.” Attending the 50th Reunion was the icing on the cake. As an architect, she marveled at the new and exciting buildings on campus, “a literal Who’s Who in architecture.” Vicki has also been traveling since retirement.

Her prizes include scholarships as well as a large wardrobe of Western-style clothing, jewelry, and accessories, which she sports at her many appearances. The highlight, of course, is the elegant Miss Rodeo America crown. Endless thanks to Stewart/Whitely, The Link Program and her incredible team at DGRW for their unwavering support. “Hadestown,” which premiered on Broadway in 2019, began 13 years earlier as a streamlined touring production in Vermont created by Addison County native and singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell. The Broadway show included two Vermont musicians in the orchestra, arranger/guitarist Michael Chorney and bass player Robinson Morse, both of whom were with the production in its early days in Vermont.
